Your Tasks

One of the missions of our IT Service Management function is to provide, monitor, and analyse operational IT related KPIs from the teams developing and deploying Mediamarkt business applications. It also creates role-based dashboards and regular reports.

Within the IT Service Management team, we are looking for an enthusiastic IT Service Manager who will own the relationship with some of the product teams and our country organizations.  The IT Service Manager will develop operational dashboards focusing on most important IT Operational KPI´s. 

• She/He will help the product teams in getting new insights from data, analyse and visualise their performance to enable smarter decisions and better products & services support and delivery.
• Furthermore, he will be responsible for managing all projects in cooperation with other units, that interface with IT service management.
• IT Service Manager will also act as Manager on Duty in case of Major incidents. This implies being on-call 1 week out of 7.

Your Profile

Must have:

• Project management experience: ability to drive complex projects cross-country and cross-functional
• 5 years’ Experience in IT Operations and IT Service Management
• Knowledgeable in ITIL
• Previous experience using BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau or google looker studio
• Strong analytical and communication skills, data-oriented personality
• High Level of English

Good to have:

• Knowledgeable on Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development
• Visual Analytics Tools (Tableau, Power BI, Google looker studio, others)
• Project Management
• ITIL certification
• German Skills

Your Tasks

We are searching for a Senior Monitoring specialist to shape the future monitoring landscape and to increase Site-Reliability Engineering maturity within MediaMarkt Saturn.  He/She will be part of our IT Operations Platform team, which has overall responsibility for the monitoring toolset.

Your tasks:

• Act as the overall owner of Monitoring services, ensuring their reliability, availability, and quality.
• Establish and enforce operational processes and procedures for effective use of monitoring tools.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize monitoring requirements, and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
• Design and implementation of Monitoring services for public and private Cloud services
• Influencing the monitoring architecture for the whole organization
• Champions monitoring best-practices and impacts the product backlog

• Active transfer of knowledge in the product teams

Your Profile

Must have:

• Expert in the Cloud and monitoring domain for Infrastructure and application monitoring like Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes, Google Cloud
• Strong experience with common DevOps technologies (Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform), GitHub, Opsgenie, etc.)
• Good experienced in scripting languages (Bash, Powershell) and programming languages (e.g. Go, Python)
• Able to debug and optimize code as well as automate routine tasks
• Well knowledgeable about Unix and Windows
• Aware about industry security best practices and follow them
• Keen to work in an agile way and have a basic understanding of SCRUM
• Passionate about new technologies and can think outside the box
• A team player caring about sharing knowledge to improve team skills
• Fluent in English

Your Tasks

One of the objectives within IT Operations is to develop state of the art IT Operations platforms including IT Service Management, IT Asset Management and Monitoring toolsets and supporting corporate functions (Technology, Finance, HR, Facilities, Logistics, ...) in their day-to-day operational activities.

The Manager will be responsible to:

• Manage the teams supporting the development of the IT Operations toolsets (ITSM, Asset Management and Monitoring)
• Develop strategic plans and vision for the standardization of the toolsets. This includes short- and long-term strategic planning and service improvements.
• Be a liaison between the organization and the Third-Party Tool Vendors. Identify upcoming trends and innovations, translating this into recommendations and ideas for improving the Managed Service Environments.
• Work with the Product teams to facilitate the correct use of the IT Operations toolsets
• Ensure that all development work follows basic agile software development.

Your Profile

Must have:

• Must be able to speak and write fluent in English
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in IT Operations toolsets (ITSM, Asset Management, Monitoring)
• Experience in managing teams (minimum 5 years)
• Knowledgeable on Service Now or Ivanti IT Operations toolset (Service Management, Hardware and Software Asset Management), Infrastructure and application monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, …)
• Experience working in an agile organization (familiar with SCRUM/Kanban and tools like JIRA/Confluence)
• International management experience

Good to have:

Define and maintain IT Continuity framework and process within MMS Technology. • Proactively identify gaps in MMS Technology organization’s resilience strategies and implement corrective actions to improve the overall readiness for disaster recovery events.
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation for resilience strategies, ensuring accessibility to all customers and compliance with industry standards.
• With the support of product teams, understand, document interdependencies among IT components, applications, and services to develop comprehensive and accurate recovery strategies.

Your Profile

Must Have

• Expertise in IT Continuity, Disaster Recovery (DR) Management, Business Continuity Management (BCM), including Operational Resilience, with demonstrable experience in DR Plan development and execution.
• Relevant certifications such as BCI, DRII, CRISC, CBAP / AAC or equivalent knowledge.
• Proficiency in developing recovery strategies, backup and restoration processes, and understanding of security principles for cyber threat recovery.
• Strong process management skills with a track record of designing and improving IT Continuity processes to ensure the organizations' resilience.
• Excellent English command, able to convey complex technical information effectively.
   

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Cloud Literacy, DevOps, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and familiarity with cloud platforms for recovery.
• Experience with Isolated Recovery Environments (IREs) and a passion for Agile principles.
